I am an artist/writer based in the United States (Oklahoma City, OK). While my work is quiet and domestic, I see the act of documenting these fleeting, private moments as a form of resistance against the invisibility of maternal labor and its sacred role in shaping future generations.
I often use whatever supplies are on hand, which is primarily pencil and newsprint. I find this convenient and affordable medium very useful during this chaotic chapter of my life.
