Bio
Markella Kaplani is a licensed clinical-counseling psychologist and parenthood and relationship expert with over seventeen years of experience supporting adults as individuals, as couples, and as parents. Alongside her continued training in couples and child psychology as well as in the psychology of matrescence, she spent years in special education, working with students with learning differences and their families – work that grounds a holistic view of well-being, diversity, and adversity. Having grown up between countries, she is attentive to how differently “good motherhood” is scripted across cultures, a question at the heart of her clinical and coaching practice, which centers on parents and couples renegotiating identity, desire, and connection across the transition to parenthood. Based in Piraeus, Greece, she works internationally; some of her work can be found at markellakaplani.com.
